A Moroccan feast for every occasion

Birthdays, family tables, holidays, blessings and trips to LA. Here is how a feast fits each one.

A candlelit Moroccan dinner spread with tagines and small dishes.

Level 1

Birthdays & dinner parties

A Moroccan feast turns a birthday or a dinner party into an event: tagines carried to the table under their clay lids, couscous shared from one platter, and a mint tea ceremony to close the night.

Chef Basmah shops, cooks, serves and cleans up, so the host gets to be a guest too.

“…her passion for her culture and food really came through in her delicious meal which was full of flavor and very generous in portion as well!”

Level 2

Family gatherings

Moroccan food is made for sharing. Couscous and tagines arrive in the middle of the table and everyone eats from the same dishes, the way it is done at home in Morocco.

Guests often mention how much the kids loved it, from kofta meatballs to the chicken tagine.

“She educated us on Moroccan cuisine and culture as she served each dish. … the chicken Tagine was our favorite.”

Level 3

Date night for two

Skip the reservation. Candles, a tagine for two, dessert and a slow glass of mint tea, cooked and served in your own home.

Menus have a minimum per booking rather than a minimum number of guests, so a dinner for two works on every in-home menu.

Level 4

Holidays: Passover, Thanksgiving, Ramadan & Eid

Guests have booked Chef Basmah for a Moroccan-style Passover dinner. Thanksgiving and year-end dinners, Ramadan iftars and Eid lunches all suit a Moroccan feast of tagines, couscous, dates and sweet mint tea.

Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around February 8 (dates depend on the moon sighting). Holiday dates fill early, so get in touch as soon as you know your plans, and mention any dietary requirements.

Good fits: Custom Menu · Traditional Couscous
